Reading, Mass„ August 5. 1938 _
The regular meeting of the Board of Public Worksopened at 7:30 P.M.
Messrs. Lindsay, Putnam, Davis, Brophy, Williamson and Super-
intendent Welch were present.
Records of previous meeting read and approved.
Mr. Frank Tanner, Chairman of School c o:mnittee and Mr. George
Sidebottom, Architect, to see Board in relation to extending sewer
from Salem St, to Town Farm property for proposed shcool.
Mrs. Bangs and Mr. Parker of Welfare Board to see Board in
relation to Frank Wooldridge. Voted to give Frank Wooldridge one more
chance to make good. at request of Welfare Board.
Following Granolithic Sidewalk applications received, approved
and placed on file.

Merle Wescott 16 Sanborn St,
Signed rental agreement for steam shovel from G. Bonazzoli &
Sons, Hudson, Mass.
Voted to buy new compressor drilling hammer, ,
Received letter from Town Counsel in regard to new amendments
to Lien Law for Witer rates and service bills.
Voted holiday for Department on Traders' Day, August 17,
Arthur Sias, Joseph Knight, Gould Ruggles, Martin Hartshorn
and Edward Parker to see Board in relation to drainage conditions in
rear of their houses on Vine and High Street.
Received notice of allotments for Chapter 90 from State as
follows:

Lowell Street 7650.00
