HomeMy WebLinkAbout1938-07-08 Board of Public Works Minutes 2.6 8 Reading, Mass., July 8, 1938 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at ' 7:30 P. M. - Messrs. Lindsay, Putnam, Brophy, Davis, Williamson and Superintendent Welch were present. Records of previous meeting read and approved. Hearing at 7:45 P. M. on curbing installation on East side of Main St, at property of Bee Tzizik. Mr. Tzizik present - non committal. Voted to install curbing at Tzizik property. Hearing at 8:00 P. M. on N.E.T. & T. conduit location on High St, between Woburn St, and Chute St. - Mr. Gilliard of N.E.T.&T. Co. present. Voted to grant location to N.E.T. & T. Mrs,. Libbey to see Board relative to driveway to Fathers & Mothers Club. Following application for Granolithic Sidewalk received and placed on file. To take usual course, Walter Hawkes - 86 Vine. St, Voted to buy Black Top for High St, from Warren Bros, Also Black Top for Tennis Court. Both bids cover Top complete in place. Letter received from John A. OtNeill, Short St, North Easton, owner of land on West side of Hartshorn St., requesting pipe in ditch from Hartshorn St, to Lowell St. Placed on file. Voted abatement of $10,00 to Lorraine Clifford, 20 Hillcrest Rd, on water bill of July 1, 1938. , Mr. Theodore Lawson to see Board in relation to storm drain on Elliott St. 269 Signed ordersoftaking for Dykens ditch off Winthrop Ave, Board adjourned at 10:00 P.
