Lindsay, Putnam, Davis, Willismson, Brophy and Superintendent Welch were present. _ Records of Previous meeting read and approved. Voted to purchase five swivel arm chairs from Allen Chair Co.- Style 546-6. Voted abatement of $2$.00 on Sewer bill of Emerson Gas Station, Lincoln St. at Prescott St. Voted pole locations to Municipal Light Co, on Roadway to pit off Strout Ave. Voted to install sewer on Eaton St. from Pleasant St. to near Salem. Voted to hold hearing for installation of curbing on east side of High St. from Woburn St, to Chute St. Hearing to be held June 3. Board adjourned at 9:00 P. 14. Respectfully Submitted: (Signed) H. Town of Reading REPORT OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS ON THE RELOCATION OR ALTERATION OF THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF VINE STREET AND MINERAL STREET / The Board of Public Works of the Town of Reading, having determined and adjudged that common convenience and necessity require that the public highways be laid out , relocated or altered as and in the location hereinafter described, having complied with all require- ments of law relating to notice to owners of land thereof, and of a hearing thereon; and having met at the time and place appointed for such hearing, and then and there heard all persons present who desired to be heard have laid out , relocated or altered as public highways for the use of the Town, the Northeast corner of Vine Street and Mineral Street. ' The boundaries and measurements of said public highways as so laid out, relocated or altered are as follows: 3rBeginning at a point on the easterly side line of Vine Street, said point being S. 230 - 54, - 00" E. , a distance of 187.66 feet from a stone bound set at an angle point in said easterly side line of said. Vine Street : From thence the area to be taken runs Southeasterly by a curved line on a radius of 20.00 feet , a length of 28.22 feet through land of Charles E. Stratton and Carrie A. Stratton to a point of tangent on the Northerly side line of said Mineral Street; Thence S. 750 - 151 - 00" W. , along the present Northerly side line of said Mineral Street , a tangent distance of 17.04 feet to the point of intersection of the Northerly line of said Mineral Street and the Easterly line of said Vine Street; %%W Thence N. 230 - 54, - 00" W. , along the present Easterly side line of said Vine Street, a tangent distance of 17.04 feet to the point of beginning. N/�y -2— The approximate area taken is fifty-eight and six-tenths (58.6) square feet. The above described lines being more fully shown on a plan entitled,"Alteration of the Northeast corner of Vine and Mineral Streets, Reading, Mass." dated April, 1938, Board of Public Works , Philip Welch, Supt. , said plan being a part of this description.) We determine that no damages will be sustained by any person or persons in their property by reason of the taking to be made for this improvement. No betterments are to be assessed for this improvement. This laying out, relocation or alteration so made by us, R . we hereby report to the Town for acceptance and recommend that when this report is accepted and adopted by the Town, that said public high- ways shall therefore be laid out, relocated or altered in accordance with said plan. Pierce and Georgie E. Pierce to a point of tangent on the Northerly side line of said Mineral Street; Thence N. 750-15'-00" E. , along the present Northerly side line of said Mineral Street, a tangent distance of 23.48 feet to the point of intersection of the Northerly side line of said Mineral Street and the Westerly side line of said Vine Street; Thence N. 230-54t-00" W. , along the present Westerly side line Of said Vine Street, a tangent distance of 23.48 feet to the point of beginning. The approximate area taken is one hundred twenty-three and five- tenths (123.5) square feet. �.
