HomeMy WebLinkAbout1937-05-21 Board of Public Works Minutes Reading Mass, May 21,1937 ' The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at 7:30 P. M. Messrs. Bancroft, Putnam, Davis, Lindsay, Brophy. and Superin- tendent Welch were present. Records of previous meeting read and approved. Mr. Gilmet of Libby Ave. appeared to ask information in re- gard to granolithic sidewalks. Hearing held on location of underground ducts of Municipal Light Department on Washington St. and High Street. No one appeared at hearing. Locations granted. Mr. George MacPhail, West St. appeared before the Board in regard to drain on West St. on westerly side, between Lewis St. and Howard St. Letter received from Town Counsel notifying the Board that the deed from the Eastern Massachusetts Railway Co, to the Town of Reading for land on John St. has been recorded. Voted to hold hearing on grade changes on Priscilla Road. Voted to file the following list of liens for unpaid water bills. (List not recorded yet.) Board adjourned at 10:45 P.M.
