The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened
at 7:30 P. M.
Messrs. Bancroft, Putnam, Brophy, Lindsay and Superin-
tendent Welch were present.
Records of pervious meeting read and approved.
Hearing at 8:00 P.M. under the Board of Survey for estab-
lishing lines and grades on Curtis St.
Mr. Bagnulo, representing Spinella Estate) Appeared in
Mr. George Frapelha, ) favor
No one opposed.
Hearing at 8:15 P. M. under Board of Survey for establish-
ing lines and grades on George St.
Mr. Bagnulo,representing Spinella Estate) Appeared in
Mr. B rP a George Fa elha ) favor.
No one opposed.
Both plans taken under advisement.
Both plans approved and signed.
Provisional approval on hiring J. H Tredenick Co. to chip
paint of part of Beacon St. Standpipe for $275.00 -
Voted to allot $12000.00 in Highway appropriation for Chapter
90 Maintenance.
Letter received from Mr. Chesley relative to land abutting
Fairview Ave.
Harold Batchelder appeared in relation to drainage condition
on Franklin Street.
Voted to empower Mr. Brophy and Superintendent Welch to
purchase crushing and screening plant at their discretion.

RESOLUTION NO. One
A resolution authorizing the Town of Reading Masa,
to file an application to the �f'i e� Sta es o erica
through the Federal Emergency Administration of Public
Works for a grant to aid in financing
the construction of Municipal Garage
and designating Philip P. Welch to furnish
such information as the Government may request.
Be it resolved by the Board of Public Works
Section 1. That Philip P. Welch be and he is authorized
to execute and file an application on behalf of Town of Reading Mass,
to the United States of America for a grant to aid in financing
the construction of Municipal Garage ,
Section 2. That Philia P. Welch is hereby authorized
and directed to furnish such information as the United States of
America through the Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works
may reasonably request in connection with the application which is
herein authorized to be filed.

E, Harold W. Putnam the duly elected, qualified and
acting Secretary o£•the Board of Public Works, do hereby
certify that I have compared the attached copy of a resolution
entitled:
"A recolutionauthorizing , the TOWN OF READING MASS.
to file an application to the United States of America
through the Federal Emergency Administration of Public
Works for a grant to aid in financing
the construction of Municipal Garage
and designating Philip P. Welch to furnish
such information as the Government may request. "
With the original of such resolution on file in my office and that
the same is a true and correct copy of such resolution which was
regularly adopted at a meeting of the Board of Public Works
duly held on the_"32th day of April, 1937
