HomeMy WebLinkAbout1937-03-26 Board of Public Works Minutes Reading Mass. March 26, 1937 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at 7:30 P.M. Messrs. Bancroft, Putnam, Davis, Lindsay, Brophy and Superintendent Welch were present. Chief Ordway appeared in regard to his property in Hundred Acre Meadow. Voted to propose an agreement to Mr. Ordway. Opened Hearing on Drain Easement from Hopkins Sir, to Main St. Mr. Hobart ) Present Mr. Graves ) Both in favor. Taken under advisement. ' Voted to readjust certain salaries. Voted to consider matter of salaries in general. Signed petition to General Court for enabling sewer act, Voted following pole locations: Waverly Road Lanetoh -Way Priscilla Road Puritan Road Voted to allow Wednesday afternoons off, alternately to Miss Kinball and Mrs. Comey except during July and August. During these months they will get alternate Saturday mornings off. No Wednesday afternoons off in a week in which there is a holiday. Signed sewer assessments on John St. Sewer extension installed in 1936. ' Voted to hire George Sidebottom as Architect for garage. Board adjourned 11:30 P.M.
