HomeMy WebLinkAbout1937-02-19 Board of Public Works Minutes Reading, Mass. February 19,1937 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened t at 7:30 P.M. Messrs. Bancroft, Putnam, Brophy, Davis and Superintendent Welch were present. Hearing was held on the laying out of Priscilla Road. Robert Henderson ) Albert Anderson ) Appeared in favor John Dow ) Raymond. Johnson )No one appeared in opposition. Voted to lay out Priscilla Road and recommend acceptance to the town. A.letter received from E. E. Taylor and Mrs. A. W. Stone, 90 Holworth7 St., Cambridge, offering to sell to the Town property ' off Grove St. , for gravel. Mr. Hodson of Mt. Vernon St. , tailed to see the Board regarding a wall along the street line of his property and the general conditions at the corner of Kingston St., Mr. Hodson offered to give land to improve the corner and the Board voted to proceed to obtain the land necessary. Pole locations were granted the New England Tel.& Tel.Co. and the Town of Reading Municipal Light Dept. for poles on Weston Road, Hanscom, Winthrop and Hanscom Ave' s. Board adjourned at 11 ;30 P. M.
