HomeMy WebLinkAbout1937-01-08 Board of Public Works Minutes Reading, Mass. January 8,1937 The regular meetirg of the Board of Public Works opened , at 7:30 P. M. - Messrs. Bancroft, Lindsay, Putnam and Superintendent Welch were present. Mr. Angelo Zanni called to see the Board regarding the sale of his land adjoining Birch Meadow. Votedto permit R.C.Jaques, 50 and 54 Fairview Ave. and Mr. Neil C. Robinson, 15 Vista Ave. ,to connect a cellar drain to the Town drainage system upon receipt of proper releases from damage are their consent to proper construction. Voted to approve a gas main location on Hopkins St. East of Main St. ,as shown on plan submitted by the Malden & Melrose Gas Light do. Voted to grant a pole location on Ida St.,as requested by , the New Emgland Tel.& Tel. Co. and Municipal Light Depart*ent. Voted to proceed with the preparations for acceptance of a section of Waverly Road. A letter received from the Planning Board inviting the Board to a discussion of the proposed changes in the Zoning Laws, Room 17, 8:30 P.M. January 15th. A complaint received from Mr. Chesley of Vista Ave. regarding drainage. Superintendent to reply and remedy the condition. Request received from Mary French of Kingston St. ,for the payment of $2.00 damages to her car. Voted to accept the offer of Mr. Ordway for the lease of a gravel pit.
