HomeMy WebLinkAbout1936-11-27 Board of Public Works Minutes Reading Mass. November 27,1936 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at 7:30 P. M. Messrs. Bancroft, .Putnam, Brophy, Lindsay and Superin- tendent Welch were present. Notice received from State Dept, of Public Works that Woburn St. Chapter 90 work has been accepted. Bids on water pipe were received at 7:45 P.M. Only one bid was received and the contract was awarded on this bid to the Warren Pipe Co. @ $1.84 per Ft. for 12" pipe Class 150. A letter from Bjarne Iverson relative to his gravel bank and addressed to the Selectmen was read and placed on file. ' An application for a sewer was received from the Reading Custom Laundry, 84 John St, and it was voted to have the application take the regular course and a hearing be called. A petition for pole locations on Ilampshire Road from the Municipal Light Dept, was received and locations granted. A petition for pole locations on Hunt, Henzie and Cedar Sts, and Shipkin Ave. received from the Municipal Light Dept. and the locations were granted.
