The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened
at 8;00 P.M.
Messrs. Bancroft, Putnam, Davis, Lindsay and Superintendent
Welch were present.
The following bids on Tractors were opened:

Bids were taken under advisement;
Mr. Lindquist and Mr. Kelly appeared before thr Board of
6omplain about the drainage near Pinevale Ave.
Mr. Donahue called to advise the Board that it was not
possible to obtain an easement for drainage on Longwood Road and
requested that the road be fixed now and the drainage later.
Mr. Coolidge presented a plan of Orchard Road for approval
by the Board of Survey. Hearing to be held May. 22.
Mr. Dadigian called on the Board again regarding drainage
on Hopkins St.

An application was received and placed on file for a
granite curb and granolithic sidewalk at 63 Deering St. signed '
by Gladys E. Larkin and Eldred W. Larkin.
A letter received from the Town Counsel relative to the
agreement submitted by the Socony Oil Co. Action delayed.
It was voted to request the Welfare Dept. for four or
five men for four weeks and two men regularly to be used to keep
the dump in proper condition. - -
Voted to authorize the Superintendent to espend a sum not
to exceed $100.00 for grass seed to be used at Birch Meadow.
Voted that a contract be made with Weston & Sampson for a
period to be determined for the necessary tests and advice on the
Filter Plant.
Voted to change the street numbers on the following streets
as of May 15th.
