The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened
at 7 :30 P . M.
Messrs. Putnam, Bancroft, Davis, Brophy, Lindsay and
Superintendent Welch were present.
Motion made by Mr. Bancroft to elect Chairman, by ballot.
Motion seconded by Mr. Lindsay.
Three ballots cast.
Mr. Bancroft elected Chairman.
Motion made by Mr. Putnam to elect Secretary, by ballot.
Motion seconded by Mr. Brophy.
Mr. Putnam 2, -Mr. Brophy 2, Mr. Davis 1.
' Tie Vote.
Another ballot proposed by Chairman. Board agreed- ballot taken.
Mr. Putnam, 3 - Mr. Brophy, 2.
Nominations for Superintendent were opened and Mr. Philip
Welch was nominated and unanimously elected.
Motion made and seconded that the same salary be continued
for the Superintendent. So voted.
Moved and seconded that Mr. Eames be authorized to trim the
trees along the power line to the Pumping Station. It was so voted.
Moved and seconded that the ,question of ash collection be
placed before the Town Meeting, ashes to be collected from September
1st, on. It was so voted.
I Moved andseconded that the question of the erection of a Public Works
Garage be placed before the Town Meeting. So voted.
All other articles to be in accordance with the recommen-
dations of the Finance Committee,
Board adjourned at 10:00 P. Y.
