The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened
at 7:30 P.M.
Messrs, Putnam., Fowls, . Bancroft, Barnes and Superintendent
Welch were present. -
A letter was received f rom .the Federal Emergency Adminis-
tration authorizing Board to award contract for Rate of Flow Con-
trollers and gages to Simplex Valve & Meter Co. of Philadelphia, Pa.
Board doted to award the contract for Rate of Flow Control
equipment to the Simplex Valve & Meter Co. at $1774.00 in accordance
with the federal regulations.
Board voted to follow up on the securing of an extension
' to the E. R. A. project for renumbering of streets.
A letter of commendation was received from Earl Watson,
Haverhill St. because of excellent work in plowing Haverhill St, this
winter.
Superintendent recommends reduction of E. E. Nichols water
bills from $11.75 to 10.75 and $7.55 to 7.05 the former that of his
house, and the other his stable. Abatement approved.
Mrs. Miller & Mrs. Lincoln appeared at the hearing under the
Board of Survey for the approving of proposed lines and grades on
Sunnyside Avenue.
Mr. Griffin and Mr. Flint also appeared.
A hearing was held under the Board of Survey for the approv-
Ing of proposed lines and grades on Hartshorn St. extended. No one
appeared.
Mr. Christensen, Mr. Griffin and Mr. Flint appeared at the
hearing under the Board of Public Works for the acceptance of Sunny-

side Avenue,
Mr, Wadsworth and Mr. Dykens appeared at the hearing under
the Board of Public Works for the laying out of Hartshorn Street.
Mr, Angelo Zanni also appeared but it developed that he had no
interest in the street. Mr. Carter, Mr. Stockwell and Mr. Rust also
appeared.
No objections were raised.
Mr. Jacques appeared at the hearing under the Board of Public
Works for the laying out of Fairview Avenue .
Work accomplished as follows:
Board of Survey Hearings were held for;
Sunnyside Avenue - Southerly side of Presoott St. ,to Southerly side of
Fairview Avenue.
Hartshorn Street - Westerly side of Bancroft Ave., to Westerly side of
Winthrop Avenue , '
Board of Public Works voted to accept layout of
Sunnyside Avenue - Southerly side of Prescott St, to Southerly side of
Fairview Avenue.
Hartshorn Street - Westerly side of Bancroft Ave, , to end of present
section, accepted March 5. 1900.
Board of Public Works voted to accept the layout of:
Fairview Avenue - Pratt to Sunnyside Ave,
Voted taking South-east corner of Main and Washington Sts.
Voted taking South-east corner of Bancroft Ave. & Lowell Sts .
Board instructed Superintendent to file with the Town Clerk
plans of streets approved at this meeting.
Appended herewith are reports of the laying out of said
streets, and descriptions thersof, which hereunto are made a part of
the minutes of this meeting.

Board voted to pay the Workingmens Cooperative Bank of
Boston $1.00 for taking at corner of Lowell St, and Bancroft Ave.
Board adjourned at 11:00 P. M.
