HomeMy WebLinkAbout1935-11-08 Board of Public Works Minutes Reading, Mass. , November 8, 193$ The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at 7:30 P. M. Messrs. Putnam, Fowle, Barnes, Crocker, Bancroft and Superintendent Welch were present. Mr. J. D. Tuller appeared to meet the members of the Board. A letter was received from H. A. Bailey in regard to sidewalk conditions particularly on Salem St. The Superintendent was instructed to make a suitable reply. Mr. MacPherson Daniel appeared to request the use of the Memorial Park Barn evenings during the winter season. C Board voted to change the street numbering regulations so that a penalty may be applied in case of violations. The Superintendent's report on Mrs . Steele's complaint regarding payment of 4% guarantee on the water main in County Road was read by the Chairman. Board voted to make no abatement in Mrs. Steele's water bill in as much as there is no legal provision for so doing. Board voted to adjourn 9:00 P. M.
