HomeMy WebLinkAbout1935-10-04 Board of Public Works Minutes or Reading, Mass. , October 4, 1935. The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at 7:30 P. M. Messrs. Putnam, Fowle, Barnes , Bancroft and Superintendent Welch were present. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Board voted to take an easement in Pine Ridge Road for the purpose of installing water pipe. Board voted to reduce the water bill of Martin Hartshorn, 14 Hartshorn St. , from $10.00 to $3.00 because of an error. Board voted to reduce water bill of Herbert Robinson, 14 Forest Glen Road, from $24.20 to $19.20 because of dirty water. Voted to abate water bill of Mr. Griffin, 10 Bond St. from $13.15 to $6.65 because of dirty water. Board voted to reconstruct Lowell St. from the intersection of Grove & Lowell Sts. toward the square 1500 ft. with the money to be received from the State of Massachusetts. Mr. Howard of the Turbine Equipment Co. appeared to ex- plain the advantages of his company's pumping equipment. A communication was received from H. S. Smith of the Public Works Administration, Boston, informing the Board of the 7% limit for engineering fees allowed by the Federal Government. Board adjourned at 9:30 P. M.
