The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened
at 7:30 P. M.
Messrs. Putnam, Fowls, Barnes, Crocker, Bancroft and
Superintendent Welch were present.
Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved.
The Superintendent was instructed to attend the public
hearings of the Massachusetts Department of Public Works.
Board voted to construct a chain link fence in accor-
dance with Superintendent's recommendation along the Westerly
side of Memorial Park.
A communication was received from Weston & Sampson
' regarding the filter plant contract with changes in contract noted.
Board agreed to consider the contract at next Friday's
meeting.
A letter was received from the Federal Emergency Admini-
strator of Public Works enclosing a payment of grant voucher in
connection with the acceptance of the federal grant for the con-
struction of the filtration plant.
Board received the Superintendent's report on the pur-
chase of snow removal equipment. The matter was laid over for
two weeks.
The lease agreements with Logan R. Dickie, et al, was
presented to and approved by the Board.

A letter was received from Mr. Philip Althoff re-
questing setting up goal posts for field hockey and socker on the
Junior High field and Memorial Park. The matter was turned over
to the Superintendent for investigation and action.
Board adjourned at 9:30 P. M.
