The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened
at 7:30 P. M.
Messrs. Putnam, Fowle, Barnes , Crocker, Bancroft and
Superintendent Welch were present.
Messrs. Strout, Wing, Perkins , Sr. , and Jr. appeared
to present a street layout of the old Rubber Works property on
Lowell St.
Board approved the Superintendent's recommendation in
regard to Mr. Steinhour.
Mr. Laing requests use of Washington St. Ball field
for "non advertising" purposes.
Board voted approval of the extension of the street
renumbering project to include a house to house contact of owners
at all properties.
The six projects now in progress were reviewed in
accordance with W. P. A. regulations and sent in to the Boston

office with letters of approval from the supervisory boards; that
is, the Board of Public Works and the Board of Survey.
Board voted to advertise immediately for bids on the
filtration plant construction in the Boston Globe and the Reading
Chronicle.
Board adjourned at 11:00 P. M.
