HomeMy WebLinkAbout1935-06-14 Board of Public Works Minutes Reading, Mass. , June 14, 1935. The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at 7:30 P. M. Messrs. Putnam, Fowle, Barnes, Crocker, Bancroft and Superintendent Birnie were present. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Mr. Wright appeared to leave a communication from Mr. Wright. A plan of the new Gulf Station was received and it was stipulated that the entrance be 4" below sidewalk at rear and 6" at front. Letter was received from Edith Batchelder in connection with the renumbering of West Street. Request was for two numbers instead of one, because of double house. Letter was received from Charles J. Gorman, 59 Green St. complaining of water bill. Letter was received from Stoneham, inviting Reading to participate in inter-urban baseball league. Mrs . Doucette owes a water bill of $17.30, which she can- not pay because her husband is away. No action was taken. Mr. MacDonald of Peabody was interviewed by the Board. Mr. Mosher of Hyde Park was interviewed by the Board. Mr. Adams of Arlington was interviewed by the Board. Board voted to hold meetings bi-:;onthly beginning by omitting the meeting on the 5th of July. Board voted to adjourn at 11:30 P. M. Respectfully submitted: Signed: A True Copy: A.
