The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened
at 7:30 P. M.
Messrs. Putnam, Fowle Barnes , Crooker and Superintendent
Birnie were present.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
A letter was received from Newell Morton requesting on
behalf of the Town Baseball League the use of the town base-ball
field at Washington St. Monday evenings through Friday. Board voted
to grant the request.
A list of confusing street names was received from Capt.
Hugh Eames.
A report of an accident on the Pleasant St. sidewalk was
rectived and referred to the Town Counsel.
Board voted to reduce the bill at 10 Gould St. owned by
Mr. Louis Ellenwood for the reason that water was wasted to
eliminate rust.
Board approved the preliminary draft of the application
to the Federal Government for assistance in constructing the fil-
tration plant.
Mr. Twombly and Mr. Kenney appeared to discuss the bill
received from Mr. Capone for work dome on Golf Club property.
No action was taken by the Board.
Mr. Maggi was interviewed by the Board.
