The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened
at 7:30 P. M.
Messrs. Putnam, Fowle, Barnes , Crocker, Bancroft and
Superintendent Birnie were present.
Mr. George Abbott appeared to request the use of the Town
drag and truck for the purpose of leveling Reading Rubber Lane,
a private way. Board granted the loan of the drag only.
Mr. Sias appeared to request permission to remove a
wooden pole and substitute a concrete pole on Woburn Street. Board
granted permission.
Mr. Morris appeared.
Mr. Stone and Mr. Boyd of Franklin St. appeared to get J
some information concerning the apparent change in the line of
Franklin St.
A preliminary hearing on the relocation of Pearl St. was held.
Mr. Tirrell, Mr. Taber, Mr. Howland Whitehouse, Mr. Whitehouse,
Wakefield St. , Mr. Geo. A. Taber, West side of cemetery, South 500 Ft.
will give land if underdrains are cared for.
Mr. Rodney Gleason wishes road to go outside of his trees at the cor-
ner of Wakefield and Pearl Sts. Mr. D. F. Dow, South of Taber's

Mr. Sullivan, 143 Pearl St. Mrs. Whitehouse objects to being left
on a side road. Mrs. Sullivan objects to having any land taken off
her frontage. Mr. Shoules objects to the taking of any land or the
making of any improvement.
-' Mrs. Hilton and Mr. Hilton of Libby Ave. appeared to
request some gravel in front of their premises.
Mr. Pratt appeared to be interviewed.
Mr. Watson appeared to be interviewed.
Mr. Brehm appeared to be interviewed.
Board adjourned at 11:45 P . M.
