HomeMy WebLinkAbout1935-03-22 Board of Public Works Minutes Reading, Mass. , March 22, 1935. The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at 7:30 P. M. Messrs. Putnam, Fowle, Crocker, Barnes and Bancroft were present. Superintendent Birnie was also present. Request from Welfare Department that they draw gasoline for their trucks and be billed. Voted, if no loss to Board of Public Works. List of properties for Water Liening approved. Petition received for improvement of Causeway Road under Betterment Act. Voted to make up an estimate. Mr. James W. Lee of 14 Dudley St. appeared to request a definite location of Franklin St. near Haverhill St. He was told that one could be given t6 him next week. Mr. Frank Emerson appeared to be interviewed by the Board. Mr. Sias of Main Street appeared at the hearing on the renumbering of streets. No objections were raised. Mr. R. E. Wyman appeared to be interviewed by the Board. Mr. Lindquist appeared to request assistance in cleaning a ditch which runs through his property on Pinevale Road. Mr. Orrin Riley appeared to be interviewed by the Board. Mr. Daniel appeared to request improvement in the ground conditions surrounding the horse shoe courts at Memorial Park.
