HomeMy WebLinkAbout1934-01-26 Board of Public Works Minutes Reading, Mass. , January 26, 1934. The Regular Meeting of the Board of Public Works opened ' at 7:30 P. M. Messrs. Putnam, Fowles Fairclough, Barnes and Superintendent Birnie were present. Records of previous meeting read and approved. A report of the Playground Committee of the Reading Woman's Club by Laura S. Gordon, Chairman, was received and read. Mrs. Gordon also submitted a suggestion for a sign at the entrance of Memorial Park. A hearing on the relocation of Franklin St. was held at 8:00 P. M. The following were present: Harold W. Batchelder ' Mary E. Emerson Charles M. Fox Esther D. Stone Joseph F. Cuneo Edwin Corton Mrs. Merle E. Connor Wm. H. Dewsnap Mary E. Whitchurch Emma S. Nelson John J. & Helen F. Cornell Raymond W. Emerson Mrs. Sweetser met with Board and reported (2) two bills filed in the Legislature. One for the Woburn Town line and the other by the owners of the property on Libby Ave. to be relieved of further payment on their Betterment Assessment.
