Superintendent reported that 58 meters were frozen during last week's cold spell of 180 below up to 50 below at noon back to 240 below estimates damage about $580.00. The Secretary wrote to the, Mayor of Woburn relative to the relocation of the Town line and asked his cooperation. Voted to hire Orin Dickinson as garage repair man for two months at fifty cents per hour. Meeting adjourned at 10:00 P. M. Respectfully Submitted: A True Copy: ' Attest: Signed: William T. Fairclough Secretary Reading, Mass. , January 12, 1934. The Chairman, Mr. Putnam and the Secretary, Mr. Fairclough, met at 9:30. P. M. but as all other members were absent no meeting of the Board could be held. Representative Mrs . Mollie Sweetser came in to report on the Town line change. . Mr. Albert D. Gadbois of #5 Maple St. asked for a permit to move a building across the street. The Town Counsel advised that this Board has the authority to grant such permit and should issue a permit. A Hearing was held at 8:00 P . M. regarding the location of - one Municipal Light Department pole on Glen Rd. 24 feet westerly from Hancock St. Extension. No one appeared. Considered appropriations.
