Putnam, Hartshorn, Fairclough, Fowle, Barnes and Superintendent Birnie were present. Records of previous meeting were read and approved. S. Gregorie, 1 Harnden St. appeared about increased cost of 5 pairs of rubber boots , i.e. .75¢ per pair plus $4.50 for 1 new pair. Voted to pay him $8.25 additional. Voted to grant pole relocations for 3 poles to Municipal Light Department and N. E. Telephone & Telegraph Co. on West St. opposite Prescott St. Signed by the Chairman. On the request of the Board of Selectmen, Voted to have Mr. Towle plow County Road again to see if it can be made passable. Voted to extend contract for 1200 ft. of 12" Water Pipe amounting to $1.65 per ft. Voted to buy tires amounting to $400.00. 269 men used in C. W. A. in Reading. Board met with Selectmen and Welfare Boards to extend Trunk Line Sewer repairs to February 15. Voted 20 men. To extend Street numbering " 6 " Stripping Gravel Pit owned by Town " 28 " To extend Forest St. " 16 " Hopkins St. , east of Main St. " 10 " Board adjourned at 12:00 M.
