A Special Meeting of the Board of Public Works was held
at 7:30 P. M. to convene with the Municipal Light Board and Board
of Selectmen to consider the purchase of the so-called Barry's
. Garage on South Main Street. Further investigation is to be made
and another meeting called about July 13, 1933. This meeting
adjourned at 9:45 P. M. at which time our Board held its regular
weekly meeting.
Messrs. Putnam, Fowle, Fairclough and Barnes, and
Superintendent Birnie were present.
Records of previous meeting read and approved.
A letter was received from the County Commissioners

dated June 9, 1933, informing us that "The County will be prepared
to meet its share of the expense, as set forth in the list forwarded-
by the Department of Public Works ." Signed by Walter C. Wardwell,
Chairman.
A notice of the bankruptcy of William E. Precourt was

received. Alice M. Precourt, 129 High St. owes $19.10 on a
water bill. Voted to ask the Town Counsel to look out for our
interests.
Voted to have the Superintendent send a second shut-
off notice to Elgin H. Kerr, 37 Grove St. and to shut off the
water after the five day period if no payment is made.
Board signed Order for Sidewalk Assessments on the
estates of Edith P. Ordway, at a1, Mabel F. Thompson and Walter
H. Pease, et al, #12 - 18 and 17 respectively, on Grand St.

also on properties on Chestnut Road, Torre St. , and Weston Road,
under the Betterment Act, totalling $1551.32.
Voted to have the Power Lawn Mower repaired at a cost of
about $75.00.
Voted to lay 95 £t. of main line sewer on Elliott St.
so as to connect the properties of Mr. Parker and Mr. Bain.
Hearing to be held on June 30, 1933. (Subject to the hearing) .
Voted to construct a granolithic sidewalk at 70 Pearl
Street on property of Thaddeus P. Shaw, et al under the Betterment
Act.
Meeting adjourned at 11:30 P. M.
