' The Regular Meeting of the Board of Public Works was
called to order at 7:30 P. M.
Messrs. Putnam, Fairclough, Merrill. and Fowls present;
Superintendent also present.
Mr. Fairclough acted as Chairman for this meeting.
Records of previous meeting read and accepted.
Messrs. Frank Bessom and Sylvanus Thompson appeared at
a hearing before the Board of Survey on Intervale Terrace. No
objection to plan raised. Plan signed.
Mr. H. Raymond Johnson appeared before the Board relative
to the construction of Park Street.
' Abuttors of Weston Road to be invited to come before the
Board next Friday Evening in regard to drainage on Weston Road.
Board voted to invite abuttors of Park Street to meet
with us next Friday in regard to changing the name of that street.
Letter received from County Commissioners relative to
our petition for repairs to Haverhill Street.
Board voted to have Mr. Putnam confer with them on
Feb. 21st at East Cambridge.
Letter received from Finance Committee inviting this Board
to meet with them on Tuesday February 7, 1933 in Room 19 at 8 P. M.
Board voted to make Mr. Fairclough Chairman for that evening.

Letter received from Town Counsel relative to 4%
guarantee upon the investment of the Town in constructing water
mains in private streets. Placed on file.
Superintendent reported protest of Mrs . Robert Packard
of Winthrop Ave. , relative to 4% guarantee on water bill. Board
voted that her bill as rendered was correct and that no abatement
could be made.
Petitions received from N. E. Tel. & Tel. Co. and
Municipal Light Dept. for installation of eight poles on
Longfellow Road from Tower Road southerly and for nine poles
on Parkview Road from Auburn Street to Tower Road. Petitions '
granted.
Petition received from Municipal Light Dept. for
permission to install four poles on Hillside Road westerly from
Main Street. Petition granted.
Meeting adjourned at 11:15 P. M.
