Reading, Mass . , October 14, 1932.
The Regular Meeting of the Board of Public Works was called '
to order at 7:30 P.M.
All Members and the Superintendent were present.
Minutes of previous meeting read and accepted.
Voted to purchase grease gun and certain other small
equipment from S. R. Stembridge.
Voted to build sidewalks around triangles in square of
gravel and stone-dust.
Voted to purchase loam from Mr. C. '.I, Merrill at $2.00
per load.
Letter received from the Selectmen relative to the
appointment of one of our members to meet with a special
.committee to study and recommend salary and wage revisions '
for the year 1933.
Voted to make Mr. Hartshorn the representative from this
Board.
Hearing held at 8:15 P.M. on the acceptance of the layout
of Fair Road by the Board of Public Works . Mrs . Anna Goodwin
and Mr. Alfred II. Parsonson appeared in favor. No objections
being heard it was voted to accept.
Hearing held on the acceptance of the layout of Tower
Road , from Hanscom Avenue to Bancroft _Avenue by the Board of
Public Works. Nobody appeared and it was voted to accept.
Letter received from Donald W. MacLean, relative to bill
rendered for the sidewalk in front of his house. Superintendent '
to write him explaining charge.

Voted to install bituminous concrete on the South side
of Woburn St . from Linden St. to Chute St.
Letter received from Weston & Sampson relative to
recommendations for the purchase of water pipe. Placed- on file.
Voted to purchase, from Warren Foundry & Pipe Corp. ,
Centrifugal Spun Cast Iron Pipe in such quantities and at such
prices as submitted in their bid, which is filed with last
week' s report.
Voted to carry the regular employees of the Highway Dept.
on the pay roll until Jan. 1, 1933, providing sufficient
funds and work are available. Superintendent to notify four
men of that Department that they will be dropped from the
Pay-roll on Jan. 1.
Meeting adjourned at 9:30 P:M.
