HomeMy WebLinkAbout1932-05-20 Board of Public Works Minutes Reading, Mass . , May 20, 1932. The Regular Meeting of the Board of Public Works was called ' to order at 7:30 P.M. All Members and the Superintendent were present. Minutes of previous meeting read and' accepted. Mr. Flynn, Foreman, State Department of Public Works , requested Board to rent that Department our cement mixer for two days . Permission granted. Letter received from the School Committee, requesting the Board to consider the need and feasibility of widening Mineral Street Bridge by the addition of a sidewalk. Matter taken under advisement. The Board voted in the meantime to paint a white stripe at a point four feet from the South side of the bridge. Bids received from T. A. Mulroney and J. C. Coppage Co. for re-surfacing sidewalks as listed in report of last week. Copies filed herewith. Matter taken under advisement. Hearing held and plans 'and profiles approved and signed on Longfellow Road, Tower Road, and Parkview Road. Plan of land approved on additional lots on above streets. Mr'. Fairclough was appointed a committee of one to draw up a set of rules and regulations governing the use of the tennis courts. Meeting adjourned at 9:20 P .M. A True Record:- Attest:- Robert E.
