HomeMy WebLinkAbout1932-05-06 Board of Public Works Minutes Reading, Mass. , May 6, 1932. The Regular Meeting of the Board of Public Works was called to order at 7:30 P .M. Messrs. Hartshorn, Putnam and Fowle were present. Superintendent also was present Minutes of previous meeting read and accepted. Superintendent to advertise for bids on gasolene for the coming year. Mr. George Melanson of Post 62 American Legion requested the use of Washington St. Base Ball Field on Wednesday and Saturday evenings. Request was granted. Letter received from County Commissioners requesting the Board to meet with them on Monday, May 23rd at 10 A:M. for consultation regarding the repaving of Reading Square. Board signed order for curbing assessment on property of Christine F. Atkinson of #3 Washington St. Letter received from Weston & Sampson relative to the grading and seeding around the new pumping station, stating that Mr. Rounds would make an allowance of $50.00 if the Board wished to complete the work. Voted to accept his offer and requested Superintendent to obtain his offer in writing. Board signed plans showing proposed 6" gas main on Weston Rd. and Oak Ridge Rd. Meeting adjourned at 9:00 P.M.
