HomeMy WebLinkAbout1932-04-29 Board of Public Works Minutes Reading, Mass. , April 29, 1932. The Regular Meeting of the Board of Public Works was called to order at 7:30 P.M. All Members and the Superintendent were present. - Minutes of previous meeting read and accepted. The Superintendent reported that the Town was unable to aid Mr. Ray of 239 West St. , in preventing water from running into his cellar, inasmuch as water is coming in from springs below his cellar floor. Letter dated 4/20/32 received from the State Department of Public Works stating that $67,000.00 had been allotted to the Town for the re-surfacing of Reading Square. Letter received from Walter C. Powers, requesting the use of the Washington Sto base-ball field for the new Mystic Valley League on Tuesday and Friday Evenings throughout the summer. Request was , granted. Mr. John F. Rand, C. E. , from Melrose, interviewed the Board and presented plans for approval of Parkview Rd. , Tower Rd. , and Longfellow Rd. Date of hearing set for May 20, 1932. Meeting adjourned at 9:10 P.M.
