The Regular M=eting of the Board of Public Works called
to order at 7:30 P.M.
All Members and the Superintendent were present .
Minutes of previous meeting road aid accepted.
Board voted to install a dirt sidewalk on easterly side
of Summer Avenue, running between Fairview Avenue and sidewalk
now in frork of Property of Herbert A. Brackett.
Mr. Sampson of Weston & Sampson interviewed the Board
relative to the cost of reporting the feasibility of investigating
the lowering of Lake Quanapowitt. He will report to the Board
later.
Board voted to prepare a motion to be placed in the Warrant
at next Town Meeting relative to the acceptance of the provisions
of the Acts of 1923 and al 1 acts amendatory thereof, which acts
provide for the placing of liens on real estate for unpaid water
bills.
Letter received from Wallace J. Murray of 18 Berkely St.,
cancelling his request for a granolithic sidewalk abutting his
property at same address. So voted.
Request received from Old South M. E. Church for curbing on
Main St, running by the Church. Matter taken under advisement.
Request from same people for granolithic sidewalks abutting church
property on Main and Salem Streets. Matter taken under advisement.

Board signed orders of taking for the Following roads:-
Layout of Vista Ave. _
" It Hillside Rd.
Relocation or Alteration of Grove St.
Layout of Longwood Road under Betterment Act.
Layout of Winthrop Avenue.
Layout of Ida St. .
Voted to penetrate gravel sidewalks on North Main St. ,
which the State are to build. Cost of such penetration to be
taken from the Sidewalk Appropriation.
Meeting adjourned at 9:30 P.M.

Dear Sir:-
The Board of Public Works, at its meeting tonight, voted
that if the State Department of Public Works would construct
agravel sidewalk on North Main Street, this Town will surface
treat such sidewalk to insure a hard surface. This agreement is
in addition to our previous agreements.
