The Regular Meeting of the Board of Public Works called to
order at 7:30 P.M.
All members (except Mr. Merrill) present, Superintendent also
present.
Previous records read and approved.
Mr. Ernest Glaesser #63 Salem St . appeared relative to water
bill for his premises. The amount $30.00 is excessive, 8700 cu.
ft. The meter was broken off and a new meter installed. He has
used only about 587 cu. ft. in the last three months. Voted to
charge him same as last year and abate surplus.
Hearing held by Board of Survey at 7:45 P .M. on Laying Out of
Van Norden Rd. Mr. J. J. Cornell and Mrs. Nichols object to
' present lines at corner of Franklin Street. The cost was
considered too high by the abutters .
Hearing held by Board of Public Works on Laying Out of
Longwood Rd. at 8:00 P .M. No objections .
Hearing held on Ida St. at 8:25 P .M. No objection. Miss
C. J. Russell appeared.
Hearing held on Vista Ave. at 8:35 P .M. No objection.
Mr. Robert Chesley appeared.
Hearing held on Winthrop Ave. at 8:45 P.M. No objection.
Mr. Pease appeared.
Board signed above plans, approving them for acceptance
by the Town.
Bill for Turbine Equipment Co. , voted to be paid out of
Round' s balance held by Town. If engineers approve bill.
Request for Ball Field received , from S. S. Spellman;
placed on file.

More objectors for No. Main St. sidewalk on West side. ,
Board granted a permit for the relocation of a pole on
Lowell St. at junction of Grand St. and Gould Ave. to the
Municipal Light Department. -
Board signed relocation of Grove St. about bend opposite
Meadow Brook Golf Club. -
Board signed Contract with Stayley B- Hamilton for the
driving eleven (11) new wells at the New Pumping Station.
Mr. Gray telephoned objecting to Layout of Longwood Road,
although he made no objection at the hearing. tonight. Mr. Davis
advised Board not to go ahead until all abutters sign a paper.
Board adjourned at 10:00 P.M. - -
