HomeMy WebLinkAbout1931-12-18 Board of Public Works Minutes Reading, Mass. , Dec. 18, 1931. The Regular Meeting of the Board of Public Works called to order at 7:30 P.M. All members and the Superintendent were present. Minutes of Dec. 11th meeting read and accepted. Mr. and Mrs. MacLeod and Mr. Fred Farnum, President of Meadow Brook Golf Club, appeared in favor of the lay out as shown on plan. . Kingman & Richardson request Board to extend our drainage System 130 feet on Penn. Ave. to connect with the Summer Avenue proposed drainage layout. - Board voted to pay $2,000, the balance due on Weston & Sampson's engineering bill on new pumping project. Letter received from Henry Carroll, relative to Board , paying further damage on taking made by us May 22, 1931• Super- intendent to advise him Board considers matter closed. A delegation from Longwood Rd. appeared, requesting further information on the improving of their street. Mr. Gilmet appeared with plan of Libby Ave. , from Salem St. to 100 ft. beyond A Street. This street to be laid out under Betterment Act. General discussion on type of construction for road construction of Reading Square. Board adjourned at 10 P.M. A True Record:- Attest:- Frank M.
