HomeMy WebLinkAbout1931-11-13 Board of Public Works Minutes PIP- November 13 , 1931 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works called to order at 7:30 P.M. All members and the Supt. were present. Minutes of Nov. 6th meeting read and accepted. The hearing on laying out Haverhill St. held at 7:45 P.M. Charles Wakefield appeared in favor, not in a position to sign release. Anthone DeMarchi would be in favor if line could be removed as far as possible from his sun porch, and Hemlock tree would not be endangered. Katherine Smith did not appear but Supt. reports she is in favor. Charles Nesmith, Mr. & Mrs . William S. Kelsey, Mr. Charles F. Tresler, Rosario Vealide appeared in favor. Mr. & Mrs. Herbert P. Hayward objected to layout as it was too near steps. John Denehey, David Shurman. Board voted to install bronze tablet at new Water Dept. Building at a cost of $90.00. Supt. instructed to notify engineers to install same in proper location. ' Harold K. Veazie, 48 John Street filed an application for granolithic sidewalk under Betterment Act. Board voted to open new Pumping Station Sat. Nov. 21 at 2:30 P.M. Adjourned at 9:45 P.M. Frank M. Merrill
