HomeMy WebLinkAbout1931-09-11 Board of Public Works Minutes Reading, Mass . , Sept. 11, 1931. The Regular Meeting of the Board was called to order at 7:30 P .M. All Members and the Superintendent were present. Minutes of Sept. 4th meeting read and accepted. Mr. Andrew Christensen appeared before the Board regarding the drainage easement of his property on Sunnyside Ave. He presented an easement that he declared better suited for the purpose. The Board to refer the subject to the Town Council. The hearing on Echo Ave. street lines was held at 7:45 P.M. Mr. Dodge and Mr. Robert Parker appeared in favor of having the Board of Survey Plan changed to meet the street grade as it is at present. Application received for curbing at Nos. 42-43 California Road from Kingman & Richardson. To be installed if money is available. Hearing of Winthrop Ave. held at 8 P.M. Mr. Packard and Mr. Jaques appeared in favor. Board approved bill amounting to $3949.00 for Turbine Equipment Co. and bill for $500.00 for Sampson & Weston. A hearing to be held at Sept. 18th for the purpose of. establishing a street grade on Main St. from Haven to a point 100 feet beyond Green St. Mr. Harry B. Collins appeared before the Board applying for the position as foreman of the Highway Dept. His application taken under advisement, pending Mr. Chester Putnam's thirty(30) day's trial.
