She reported that the Campfire group' s program is now scheduled for the 22nd, rather than May 15 on the Common as announced, but the Commission has not been so informed officially. Katherine Farquhar distributed a draft copy of the Heritage Trail brochure. Mrs. Miller indicated It provided more information than expected but will be difficult to reduce. Discussion turned to printing costs, number and use of pictures, available funds, feasible, economic number of copies, and price, with a further suggestion that the map be reprinted separately with a listing on the back of houses marked, by street and number. This could be distributed free to those desiring to tour the town. Ms. Farquhar will investigate along these lines. Mr. Skinner has 4Wthelast of the plaques which will be installed shortly. A check will be made on the status of the Glynn house. Mrs.3arclay said she had read the copy for the College Club 's projected history of Rsa^ ing for third graders. She reported her reactions saying she had returned It with her comments, and requested the opportunity to see it again after the revisions had been made. Mrs. Miller said she and her children's librarian would read it this week. There Is e (( delicate question involved since the College Club group apparently have + turned over a good bit of the preparation to a professional whom they feel should be paid, and this was not anticipated, nor authorized by the Commission. The Commission's newest member was formally Introduced. She is Reading Memorial High School student , Diane Palaima of 594 Summer Ave. There was a brief discussion about the Gravestone recording project. "It is reported that some 90 rubbings have been done, including some in Wakefield, and North Reading (photograohs since NR forbids rubbing). Why Wakefield & North Reading? Mrs. Bishop suggested that the project does not appear to be following the guide lines set up by the Commission In Its discussions of 7 May and 6 June 1974, and 13 February 1975. This should be clarified. The meeting adjourned at 10:45 pm. , to reconvene on Wednesday, March 17th, same time, same place. Eleanor C. Bishop Secretary 4W
