Gentlemen: In further reference to our recent correspondence in regard to changing the final coat of paint on your standpipe from that originally specified to aluminum, we are pleased to advise that we can make this change for the sum of ONE HUNDRED SIXTY($160.00) DOLLARS. In order to insure covering the paint now on the tank with one coat of aluminum, it is necessary for us to figure on spraying this paint on with a paint spray. With this method, the one coat of aluminum should cover the paint now on the tank very satisfactory. If it were to be brushed on the paint underneath would undoubtedly show thru the outside coat of aluminum. The aluminum paint which we would use is described on the attached specification and we belie7e is the very best for this purpose. We would appreciate very much, your advising us the decision in this matter as promptly as possible, as we wish to send a crew. to Reading as promptly as possible as we wish to sent a crew to Reading within the next two to three weeks to do this work and we of course, want to have the proper paint on the ground for them.
