HomeMy WebLinkAbout1931-03-31 Board of Public Works Minutes March 31, 1931 Special Meeting of the Board of Public Works called to order at 8 P.M. All Members and the Superintendent were present. Bids were received from United States Pipe & Foundry Co. , R. D. Wood & Co. , and Warren Foundry & Pipe Co. Copies of Bids are filed herewith. Bid was awarded to Warren Foundry & Pipe Co. at $1.32 per foot for approximately three thousand (3,000) feet of 12" Warren-Spun C. I. B&S Pipe, Class 150 in 16, laying lengths delivered by truck on job as needed. Petition for pole location was signed by Chairman, covering Mt. Vernon St. from Bancroft Ave. to beyond School St. Order for Sidewalk Assessments was signed by Board, covering curb-stone installation #1 A and #11 Dudley St. Voted to lay out new street line on High and Lowell Streets as shown on a plan in order to construct a sidewalk from Willow Street to High Street. Voted to write a letter to Insurance Committee, informing them we contemplate trucking water pipe on our highway trucks this coming year. Adjourned at 8:42 P.M. A True Record:- Attest:- Frank M. Prices quoted are for delivery f. o. b. cars or trucks our Everett, Massachusetts Foundry, with $eight allowed to Reading, Massachusetts.
