Reading, Mass . , Feb. 20, 1931.
The Regular Meeting of the Board of Public Works was held
at 7:30 P.M.
Messrs. Hartshorn, Merrill, Fairclough and the Superintendent
were present.
Previous records read and approved. -
Mr. Merrill reported that Mr. Harry Palmer raised a
ruesti.on about Auto Insurance: Mr. Lembert to write.
Dr. Davis suggested that cost of $105.00 for examination
of titles for Shackford Road be added to costs . Board Sett'..that
this could not very well be added, after having given a price
of $x+00.o0.
® Board signed two commitments for granolithic sidewalks:
one on Dudley Street and one on Bancroft Avenue, totaling 11+51.39.
The Chairman advised that Albion M. Benton be hired to
fill vacancy of position of George ingalls in the Water Department.
Hearing on Wells Road held at 8 P .M. Nonappearance.
Board signed motion for acceptance by Town.
Hearing on Pinevale Avenue held at 8:10 P .M. Three
appeared. No objections . Board signed motion for acceptance
by Town.
Hearing on Shackford Road held at 8:20 P.M. Three anpearances.
No objections . Board signed motion for acceptance by Town.
Hearing on Glen Road held at 8:30 P .M. Mr. Paul Mich
appeared. No objections . Board signed elan approved by Board of
® Survey.

Board voted to have survey made for the extension of
Hancock Street.
Board voted to have survey made for rounding corners at
Summer avenue and Willow Street.
Board voted to straighten bad turns on Franklin Street.
Board discussed sealer rates , also a maximal and minimal
rate of $300.00 per year and $6.00 per year.
