The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works ,was held ,
at 7:30 P.M.
All members and the Superintendent were present.
Previous records read and approved.
Board signed release of easement to Frank Merrill for drain
moved from his property to Bond Street, as voted in Special Town
Meeting.
Also signed plan giving permission to Malden &. Melrose Gas. Co.
to lay gas main in South Street east of Main Street.
Orders of Takings for Streets accepted in Special Town Meeting
signed by the Board, see list in Secretary' s report of Nov. 28, 1930.
Also voted to reconstruct sidewalks on Highland St. , Bancroft
Ave. , and Dudley St. between High and School Streets . '
Voted to purchase a snow plow for new chevrolet truck to
cost not over $250.00.
The Secretary signed a permit for a joint pole location in
Lee Street from Vine Street northerly 4 poles, after a hearing, no
appearance; also one on Scotland Road, between Sigsbee Avenue and
West Street, three poles, as per plans.
Weston and Sampson appeared relative to Water situation, also
Sewer costs.
Voted to pay $200.00 to Weston and Sampson to advise Board
bn Sewer costs and possible adjustments.
Louis W. Keene reported that be did not receive water bill for
house #1 Hunt Street. ,

' Members Present:
WHEREAS, after discussion, it was determined and adjudged by
this Board that public convenience required the reconstruction of
the existing sidewalks on the Easterly side ofHighlandStreet and
Bancroft Avenue from the Northeasterly corner of Highland and Auburn
Streets to the property of Ellen A. Richards. It was, upon motion
duly made and seconded, voted to adopt the following order:
0 R D E R E D: That this Board reconstruct the sidewalks in
the said locations of granolithic construction, said materials being
of a more permanent character than that with which said sidewalks
were originally constructed; and it is furtherordered that there
shall be assessed on the abutting estates mentioned below the respective
' amounts set opposite each parcle, which assessments do not exceed
one-half the cost thereof.

Whereas, after discussion, it was determined and adjudged by

between High and School Streets. It was, upon motion duly made and
seconded, voted to adopt the following order:
0 R D E R E D: That this Board reconstruct the sidewalks in
the said locations of granolithic consttuction, said materials
being of a more permanent character than that with which said
sidewalks were originally constructed; and it is further ordered
that there shall be assessed on the abutting estates mentioned below
the respective amounts set opposite each parcel, which assessments
do not exceed one-half the cost thereof.
