October 10, 1930
Regular Meeting of the Board of Public Works held at 7:30 P.M.
Messrs . Hartshorn, Putnam, Merrill, Fairclough and the
Superintendent present.
Previous records read and approved.
Voted to purchase 1000 ft. of copper tubing @ 18 1/2¢ per foot.
Voted to resurface Woburn Street sidewalk.

Board signed and approved location plan for gas pipe in
Bay State Road from Salem Street to Haverhill Street.
Water being pumped into system and three (3) additional wells
have been connected, making nine (9) wells in all, delivering
150,000 gallons per day.
Letters received from School Committee requesting a sidewalk
' on the westerly side of Summer Avenue from Oak Street to Hopkins
Street. The Superintendent is to investigate and report, also to
answer letter acknowledging its receipt.
Board signed petition for relocation of Salem Street near
its function with Main Street.

Secretary signed lease for electric motor @ $25.00 per '
month in advance.
The report of Metcalf & Eddy, on the Water Supply, read by
the Secretary and it was voted to accept same and place it on file.
Voted to request Engineers to consult with Board next Friday
night with reference to further development of water supply.
