HomeMy WebLinkAbout1930-05-02 Board of Public Works Minutes May 2, 1930 A meeting of the Board of Public Works was held this day at 7:30 P.M. All four members and the Superintendent were present. A recuest from residents of Colburn Rd. for a faucet and standpipe was granted. Mr. Torkington on Martin Road recuested a refund on water bills for having been charged the 4% guarantee, while four other owners of houses on Martin Road were not so charged. The Superintendent is to investigate and report next Friday night. Mr. De Marchi of Walnut St. reported the bad condition of the street in front of his property. The street is public and the Board voted to put same in good condition. The Superintendent reported that progress is being made on street maintenance. , A notice is published in Chronicle regarding Band Stand this day. The Board decided to wait one month before deciding upon meter for River water. It was voted to purchase a- patching kettle complete for about $300.00. The Superintendent is to reserve a space of about 6 ' for pedestrians on High St. while sewer is being built. The Board adjourned at 9 P .M. A True Record : Attest: William T. Fairclough SECRETARY
