At a special meeting of the Board of Public Works, there
were present Mr. Samuel Davis, Chariman, H. Putnam, M. Hartshorn,
and W. Fairclough.
The following vote was passed:-
VOTED: That in the opinion of the Board of Public Works,
Common convenience and necessity require that a town way be
laid out and/or relocated and/or altered in such wise as to
widen Main Street in said Reading at its westerly side and
northerly of its intersection with Haven Street so that the
westerly side line of said Main Street as so laid out, and/or
relocated and/or altered shall be a line as follows:- Beginning at
a point on the northerly line of Haven Street thifty-three (33)
feet south-west of the intersection of the northerly line of
Haven St. , with the westerly line of Main St. , thence running due
north Por a distance of two hundred thirty-nine and sixty-four
one hundredths (239.64) feeti thence by a curve to the left having
a radius of two hundred fifty and fifteen ore hundredths (250.15)
feet for a distance of eighty-two and fifty-two one hundredths
(82. 52) feet to the intersection with the westerly line of Main
Street: and that notice be served as provided by law upon the
owners of the land which will be taken for such purpose of our
' intention to so lay out and/or relocate and/or alter such way
and that we will meet on Thursday the 6th day of February 1930
at 8 P .M. in the room of the Board of Public Works in the
Municipal Building, Reading, Mass. to hear all persons interested.
