A meeting of the Hoard of Public Works was held this day ■
at 7:30 P.M. J
Present were: Samuel H. Davis
Miles C. Higgins
Wm. T. Fairclough
Harold W. Putnam
and the Superintendent
Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent it was voted to
purchase a motor and make necessary changes at the pumping station
to assure constant treatment of water with Allum.
A letter received from Metcalf & Eddy reported the progress of
their investigation into a water supply for the Town.
Permission was voted the Mass . Dept of Public Works to erect
signs on the numbered auto wAhted in Town.
George Harrocks appeared to protest the amount of his sewer '
bill. No record of a sewer bill of the amount stated could be
found. Mr. Harrocks to look up the bill and notify board.
Voted to purchase tires needed for the year from Alex. Lindsey
whose bid appeared to be for the best interest of the Town.
Voted to buy two carloads of Waterpipebecause of favorable
prices received.
The budget for the year 1930 was then considered and temporary
amounts decided upon.
