HomeMy WebLinkAbout1929-10-18 Board of Public Works Minutes Reading Mass. - October 18,1929 A meeting of the Board of Public Works was held this day at 7:30 P.M. Present were: Samuel H. Davis Martin B. Hartshorn William T. Fairclough Harold W. Putnam and the Superintendent . - Mr. Millbury returned the releases necessary for the Kingston Street drain properly signed. Mr. Currell came before the Board to urge that the drain - be constructed between Woodward Avenue and Vine Street and that it ' be placed below the grade as planned. Mr. Enos appeared to urge the drainage be corrected on Woodbine and Hancock Streets. Board agreed to make estimate and consider placing on warrant for next Town meeting. Mr. Shipkin brought to the Board the the releases necessary on Third Street for acceptance by the Board of Survey. A hearing was held on the approval of plans for the laying out of Palmer Hill Road by the Board of Survey. The approval was with held until drainage is planned. An application from the H. E. T . & T. CO. and the Municipal Light Dept. for permission to relocate one pole on Salem Street. This permission was granted. Plans were received for approval by the Board of Survey on ' Barrows Road and Shackford Road. The extension of the sewer on Elliott Street was reconsidered and extension was voted.
