HomeMy WebLinkAbout1929-10-04 Board of Public Works Minutes ' Reading, Mass. October 4, 1929 A meeting of the Board of Public Works was held this day at 7:30 P.M. Present were: Samuel H. Davis - Miles C. Higgins Martin B. Hartshorn William T. Fairclough Harold W. Putnam and the Superintendent. A notice was received from the County Commissioners advising of the hearing on the laying out of Haverhill Street to be held on Nov. 8th, Acknowledgement of the receipt of petition requesting aid for the construction of Salem Street. A letter was received from A. T, Stanwood requesting that a corner curb be placed at the corner of King and Berkely Street. The Superintendent is to investigate and report to the Board. An application was received from Charles N. Holms for a corner curb in front of his property at 18 Pearl Street, The Superintendent is to investigate and report, Mr. Ames of Oak Street appeared before the Board to request additional sidewalks on the street. The matter is to be 'investigated by the Superintendent and taken up at next meeting. The Superintendent was instructed to communicate with Messrs. Ralston and Milbury, inviting them to meet with the Board on Oct.11th ' to discuss installation of the Kingston Street drain. A true record: (Signed) Harold W. Putnam Secretary
