HomeMy WebLinkAbout1929-07-19 Board of Public Works Minutes 1 ' July 19, 1929 ' Meeting of the Board of Public Works was held this day at the Town Building at seven-thirty P.M. There were present: Samuel H. Davis Martin B. Hartshorn William T. Fairclough Upon a hearing of this Board acting as the Board of Survey of the laying outh of bond Street, Mr. Frank M. Merrill appeared in favor of the same and no one appeared in opposition thereto and the Board approved the plan. - The Superintendent was instructed to advertise for a hearing for the laying out of Francis Road under the Survey Act. ' The bids for the purchase of a truck were opened and the Superintendent was requested to classify the same and also give the Board his recommendation. The matter of the extension of the main line of the sewer to the property of George W. Ives was discussed by the Board and it appeared that the extension would have to be made through Boyce Street, a private way, which has not been laid out under the Survet Act,it was, VOTED: To hold the matter in abeyance until such time as the Survey Act was complied with and 1'r. Ives was duly notified of the Boardta action. The Board discussed the matter of the Water situation. The matter of placing additional hydrants in Reading Square was discussed and the Sup^rintendent was requested to investigate and regort to the Board. A true copy of record.
