June 7. 1929
A meeting of the Board of Public Works was held this day
at 7:30 P.M.
Present were:
Samuel H. Davis
Miles B. Higgins
Wm. T. Fairclough .
Martin B. Hartshorn
Harold W. Putnam
Mr, .Birnis came before the Board to give a report regarding
the street work.
Mr. Putnam gave a report of the work of the water and park
departments.
Mr. Richardson of Kingman and Richardson appeared to urge the '
acceptance o£ Indiana and Virginia Rds„ at the next meeting of the
Town.
A taking of drainage rights to provide for the drain from
High to Haven streets was made, a copy of which is attached.
W. E. Kingman of the Baptist Church wrote to the Board requesting
that repairs be made to the sidewalk abutting the Church property.
It was voted to hold a special meeting for the purpose of
further considering the choice of a superintendent for the Board and
W. E. Lumbert of Saugus is to be interviewed.

Upon motion duly made and seconded.
' VOTED:- That by and under the authority of Statute 1909, Ch.
314 and of all other law thereunto enabling, the Board proceed to a
taking of an easement for sewer drainage and other purposes and of
sewers, drains and other works in certain lands of various persons
(Lena Rosenfield, Percival Parker, Julia Whelton stale , Hermione A.
Callen, Geo. Be Horrocks, Annie Wentworth, Patrick J. Maguire, Eva _
Ellenwood, Lester S. & Anna Be Riley, Bernice E. Stevens Admx. , Mary
Leeds, and of other persons) lying between High and Green Streets, Green
and Gould Street, and Gould and Haven Streets, all as set forth in an
order of taking submitted to the Board at this meeting and a plan in
connection therewith, and that the said order of taking be executed and
filed to be recorded, together with said plan in the Registry of Deeds
for the South District of the County of Middlesex, and that written
notification of said taking be sent to all persons interested as owners
of said premises.
Thereafter the order of taking referred to in the foregoing
vote was signed and asknowledged by the following members of the Board:
