April 18, 1929
Members Present:
Samuel Davis, Wm.Fairclough, M.C.Higgins, and the Supt.
Voted to award the contract for Storm Drainage to the lowest
bidder, Vincent Russo, j$13,035.50.
Application from Loring Wilcox, 10 Fairview Ave, for tar concrete
sidewalk.
Petition of residents on Willow St. ,- for construction of Side-
walks on the south side in from Lowell St. Mr. Collins instructed to
construct gravel walk. '
Mr. Dana Perkins, Mr. French, Mr. Adden, appeared regarding
drainage situation on Mr. Perkin' s property. Mr. Collins to investigate
situation and report. \
Approved plan of Malden & Melrose Gas Light Co. ,for location
of 6" gas main on Weston Road.
Hearing at 8 P.M. on petition of Municipal Light Board for
one (1) Pole location on Private way off Washington St. Mr. Christenson
appeared. No protest.
Voted to install a curbing on northeasterly side of Summer Ave.
opposite Ellis Ave. without cost to the abutter, Mr. Pratt. This
concession is made the abuttor because of the drainage flowage off
Ellis Ave., that makes this construction necessary.
Voted to construct catch basins on both sides of Main St. ,North
of Green St. , and conneet the same. This will carry off water coming
down Main St, and prevent it from entering Green St. '
