Meeting of the Board of Public Works was held this day
at 7:30 P.M.
Present were:
Samuel H. Davis
Martin B. Hartshorn .
Wm. T. Fairclough
Harold W. Putnam
After due consideration the Board voted to adv9rtise at once
requesting applications for permanent sidewalks be submitted in order
that the work can be undertaken at an `early date.
The Superintendent was authorized to communicate with the
engineer on drainage for the Town, asking that the pre liminary work
be started on the, drains to be constructed this year. He was also ,
advised to notify the State and County that money was now available
for the construction of Pearl Street.
It was voted to purchase 100 new street signs of the same
design and material as those purchased in 1928 and for the streets as
recommended by the Superintendent.
The matter of a Taking of an Easement for sewer and drainage
purposes in certain land of William H. Killam at the ,junction of Mt.
Vernon and Kingston Streets was discussed, and after discussion a
statement of Taking was signed by the following members of the Board:
Samuel H. Davis, Harold W. Putnar, Martin B. Hartshorn and William T.
Fairclough and ordered to be filed to be recorded in the Registry of
Deeds for the Southern District of the County of Middlesex. A written ,
notification to the said William H. Killam, as owner, was also signed
and orcered to be sent to said to said Killam and one to his wife as

soon as the said statement should have been filed as aforesaid.
The salaries of the various worlanen employed by the Board
were discussed. The Superintendent was requested to furnish further
information at the next meeting and the matter was laid on the table.
