HomeMy WebLinkAbout1928-10-19 Board of Public Works Minutes October 19, 1928. Meeting of the Board of Public Works was held this day at the Town Building at seven-thirty P.M. There were present:- Harry N. Brown Miles C. Higgins Martin B. Hartshorn Harold W. Putnam Samuel H. Davis , and the Superintendent. A letter was received from the Chairman of the Republican Town Committee making application for a permit for a banner to be placed over the highway in Reading Square and after donsidering the matter it was voted not to grant such a permit. A letter was received from the Chiswick Realty Company with ref- erence to the property line of the premises at 33-41 Haven Street and they were notified that on November 5, 1872 the Town widened ' Haven Street, thereby taking a small portion of the land in question. Mr. R. F. Hesselton of Coldspring Road, came before the Board making application for water on this Street. He was informed that a grade plan should be submitted to the Board for approval in compliance with the Survey Act before the Board could place the water in this highway. Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED: To purchase a Chevrolet one and a half ton truck with a Hercules body for $733. 50 for use of the Water Department.
